Terms for connect the customer
The following are the rules for the 2008-2010 Connect the Customer incentive rewards program:
Awards Program Rules
- All eligible purchases must be ordered, shipped, and billed according to our standard terms of sale during the promotion period beginning on August 1, 2008 and ending on January 31, 2010. Only purchases made to eligible, participating HD Supply Electrical branch locations will qualify.
- Each customer is eligible to receive an incentive award for two or four people which shall be determined at the end of the promotion period based on the customer's aggregate spending during the period.
- To qualify for awards, each customer account must be current in accordance with our regular payment terms.
- Customer awards will be based on the aggregate spending for all accounts of the customer.
Trip Rules
- Each customer will earn two paid trips per $2.5 million dollar spend. Customers will earn an additional two paid trips per $4 million dollar spend.
- Limit of four (4) earned trips per customer account, per 18-month promotion period.
- Trip based on double occupancy, two people per room (single supplement charges will apply).
- Any or all earned portions of trips are not transferable, have no monetary value and are not refundable.
- Form 1099's will be issued for earned portions of trips. Any liability for taxes based upon this travel award is the sole responsibility of the program participant(s) and not that of HD Supply Electrical. Each participant is required to provide a social security number.
- Trips awarded must be taken with the HD Supply Electrical group.
- Destination, departure dates, and goals are subject to change based on escalating travel costs, political climate, or weather.
- HD Supply Electrical assumes no liability for illness or injury suffered by our customers or their guests, or for inability to return customers or their guests for any scheduled date due to airline or hotel strike, political unrest, weather, acts of God or any other unforeseen causes.
- All HD Supply Electrical evening trip functions require attendees to be 18 years of age or older.
- This promotion is void where limited by company policy.
Purchase of Additional Trips
- All earned trips will be honored prior to purchase consideration for additional trips, based on availability.
- Customers who do not spend $2.5 million dollars, but who have spent half the threshold amount ($1.25 million dollars) or more during the program period of 18 months may choose to purchase a trip for two at a cost pro-rated to their spend amount.
- Additionally, customers who have earned two trips by spending $2.5 million dollars with HD Supply Electrical may purchase two additional trips at a cost pro-rated to their spend amount.
- Pro-rated buy-in (purchase) criteria is as follows:

- Buy In (purchase) Example:
- Customer has spent $1.25 million dollars with HD Supply Electrical during the 18 month program period as specified above.
- This customer’s spend of $1.25 million dollars with HD Supply Electrical represents one half or 50 percent of the total spend threshold of $2.5 million dollars required for that customer to earn two (2) trips.
- Customer may purchase two (2) trips at a prorated amount of 40 percent of the trip’s value.
- Buy In (purchase) amount will be determined at the end of the program period, January 31, 2010.
